It is unlawful for the directing officer or the operator of any railroad train to direct the operation of or to operate the same in such a manner as to prevent the use of any street for purposes of travel for a period of time longer than five minutes, except that this provision shall not apply to trains or cars in motion other than those engaged in switching.

Prior to the adoption of 6331 on 08/28/2002, Section 10.04.060 read as follows.

It is unlawful for the operator of any vehicle to operate the same on any street or alley within the city of Aberdeen at a speed in excess of the following:

A. Twenty-five (25) miles per hour.

B. Twenty (20) miles per hour in traversing any intersection where the operator's view is obstructed; provided that, except as otherwise provided in this section, this provision shall not apply to operators upon arterial streets. An operator's view is deemed to be obstructed when at any time during the last one hundred (100) feet of his approach to an intersection he does not have a clear and uninterrupted view of such intersection, and on all public highways entering such intersection for a distance of one hundred (100) feet along the centerline of each thereof.

C. Twenty (20) miles per hour in traveling upon an arterial street and traversing an intersection with another street not an arterial street, and the operator or another vehicle about to enter the intersection of such arterial street thereat, shall have brought this vehicle to a complete stop, as required by law, before entering such arterial street.

D. Fifteen (15) miles per hour in any alley. (Prior code § 9.02.170)
