8.04.020 Acts prohibited without permit.
Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, it is unlawful for any person, without securing a permit, to do any of the following within this city:
A. Manufacture, possess, or sell any fireworks at wholesale or retail for any use, including agricultural purposes or wildlife control;
B. Discharge fireworks other than Consumer Fireworks on July 4 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 midnight;
C. Make a public display of fireworks; or
D. Transport fireworks, except as a public carrier delivering to a licensee.
Prior to the adoption of 6562 on 10/22/2014, Section 8.04.020 read as follows.
It is unlawful for any person, without securing a permit, to do any of the following within this city:
A. Manufacture, possess, or sell any fireworks at wholesale or retail for any use, including agricultural purposes or wildlife control;
B. Discharge fireworks at any place other than Class C Common Fireworks on July 4 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 midnight;
C. Make a public display of fireworks; or
D. Transport fireworks, except as a public carrier delivering to a licensee. (Prior code § 6.25.020)
