3.52.080 Eligible improvements.

A. The revolving loan program committee may provide loan funds to a business or property owner for the following kinds of exterior improvements and/or repairs within the downtown and East Aberdeen districts:

1. Exterior painting;

2. Repair/replacement of original building ornamentation;

3. Masonry cleaning or repair;

4. Repair/replacement of windows and casings;

5. Purchase or repair of awnings;

6. Repair and purchase of signs;

7. Landscaping;

8. Sidewalk repair;

9. Parking lot improvement and/or repair;

10. Removal of asbestos or other hazardous materials;

11. Code-required fire safety improvements and floodplain requirements;

12. Other similar exterior improvements meeting committee approval;

13. HVAC repairs; and

14. Interior historic renovations meeting HPC and committee approval.

B. Prior to any loan commitment, the committee may require applicants to provide plans and/or estimates of work anticipated with the loan funds to ensure compliance with the provisions of this section.
