2.80.050 Committee on committees.
A. The members of the standing committees shall be selected by a committee on committees in accordance with AMC 2.80.055. The committee on committees shall consist of three member from the city council, no two of which shall be from the same ward. The committee on committees shall be composed of the following:
1. The president of the city council;
2. The councilmember who is the most recent past president from a different ward than the president, provided that if no past president is available to serve, the city council shall elect a member to serve in the place of the past president;
3. One member elected by the city council. The elected member shall chair the committee on committees.
B. The committee on committees shall make its recommendations and report to the city council at the second regular meeting of the city council in January of each year. The recommendations and report shall be subject to confirmation by the city council. The mayor shall be an ex officio member of each committee.
