The fire chief of the city of Aberdeen may appoint, for a temporary period of time, fire-fighters for the city of Aberdeen. Such appointments shall only be during a period of emergency declared by the mayor of the city of Aberdeen. The temporary appointments shall be for no longer than a period of sixty (60) days.
