A. A bureau of fire prevention in the fire department of the city of Aberdeen is established, which shall be operated under the supervision of the chief of the fire department who shall be responsible for the duties and activities of this bureau and for the enforcement of the ordinances pertaining to fire prevention.

B. The chief of the fire department shall designate an officer (or member) of the fire department as chief inspector of the bureau of fire prevention, who shall hold this office at the pleasure of the chief of the fire department.

C. The chief of the fire department may also designate such number of assistant inspectors as shall from time to time be deemed necessary. He may, in addition, designate such number of assistant inspectors from the uniformed force of the fire department as shall from time to time be deemed necessary.
