A. Review enacted and proposed building, plumbing, electrical, housing, mechanical, fire and dilapidated structures codes and proposed amendments or changes in said codes, and to solicit public input thereon and make recommendations to the city council;

B. To research, recommend and promote uniform regulations, legislation, and enforcement pertaining to all phases of building construction and related codes;

C. To advise and assist the various departments of city government when requested in the administration and enforcement of laws and ordinances pertaining to building, construction, and related work;

D. To act as the board of appeals for the Uniform Building, Plumbing, Mechanical, Electrical, and Fire Codes and for the "Dilapidated Structures Ordinance" of the city of Aberdeen.
