The term of appointment for the hearing examiner shall be for a period not to exceed four (4) years, subject to termination as provided in Section 2.30.030, and shall be coterminous with the term of the mayor. Hearing examiners pro tem may be appointed for such terms and functions as the mayor deems appropriate.
