A qualifying inmate sentenced to a period of confinement at the corrections facility may, at the discretion of corrections staff and subject to applicable policies and procedures, serve all or a portion of his or her ordered confinement in a private residence or another qualifying residence, subject to an acceptable system of electronic surveillance.
