A. Chimneys, cornices, canopies, eaves or similar architectural features may project eighteen (18) inches into any required yard setback area.

B. Fire escapes, outside stairways and porches which are only enclosed up to the height of the handrails, may project not more than six feet into any required front yard, and not more than three feet into any required side or rear yard.

C. Accessible ramps may be constructed in any required yard areas.

Prior to the adoption of 6521 on 10/26/2011, Section 17.56.140 read as follows.
