The purpose of the R-S district is to protect and maintain Aberdeen's single-family residential neighborhoods in a manner that encourages neighborhood revitalization where needed. Suitable undeveloped areas are designated single-family residential to provide for increased residential development and to designate the major public parks, schools, and semi-public use which currently exist or are proposed. The single-family residential district should provide a full range of low intensity housing opportunities.
