13.56.470 Enforcement of chapter - assistance from other departments.
The director is authorized to enforce the provisions of this chapter, the Cross-Connection Control Program adopted pursuant to AMC 13.56.620, and all other ordinances relating to the operation of the city's water utility. It shall be the duty of the employees of the police, fire, engineering, streets and sewer departments to give vigilant aid to the director in the enforcement of the provisions of this chapter, and to this end they shall report all violations thereof which come to their knowledge to the director. It shall be the duty of the chief of the fire department to report immediately to the driector in case of fire in premises having metered service for fire protection purposes that the fire has occurred therein.
Prior to the adoption of 6497 on 03/24/2010, Section 13.56.470 read as follows.
It shall be the duty of the employees of the police, fire, engineers and streets and sewer departments to give vigilant aid to the superintendent in the enforcement of the provisions of this chapter, and to this end they shall report all violations thereof which come to their knowledge to the office of the superintendent, and it shall be the duty of the chief of the fire department to report immediately to the superintendent in case of fire in premises having metered service for fire protection purposes that the fire has occurred therein.
