A property owner desiring to connect with the domestic water supply of the city of Aberdeen shall present at the office of the water department a completed application for a service connection on a standard form to be furnished for that purpose together with the fees for installation of water service as provided in this chapter.

Prior to the adoption of 6497 on 03/24/2010, Section 13.56.020 read as follows.

An owner of residential property desiring to connect with the water supply of the city of Aberdeen shall present at the office of the water department a copy of the building permit or a regular certified copy of it from the superintendent of buildings, containing his name, description of lot, block and addition and the official house number of the premises on which water is desired, and shall make application therefor upon a printed form to be furnished for that purpose, which application shall contain the description of the premises where such water is desired, shall state fully all of the purposes for which the water is to be used, the number of families to be supplied and the size of the service pipe, and shall be signed by the owner of the premises to be served, and shall be filed in the office of the superintendent, and at the time of filing such application the applicant shall pay to the city treasurer, and take his receipt therefor, the fees for installation of water service as provided in this chapter.
