It shall be unlawful to operate a sidewalk cafe without a written permit to do so from the Director of Public Works, or his or her designee, as provided in this chapter. A sidewalk cafe permitted under this chapter is not required to also obtain a permissive use permit under chapter 12.04 AMC.
