Any person who shall violate or fail to comply with any of the provisions of this chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine not exceeding three hundred dollars ($300.00) or by imprisonment in the city jail for a term not exceeding ninety (90) days or by both such fine and imprisonment.
