Whenever driveways or parking strips are to be paved with Portland cement concrete, there shall first be placed an approved conduit for ornamental street lights. Conduits shall be placed one foot toward the street from the edge of the sidewalk, unless otherwise directed by the city engineer. Locations of conduits shall be identified by scribing a two-inch diameter circle at each edge of the slab when it is poured.
