The "datum plane" to which are referred the elevations of street grades, is the level of extreme low tide in grays Harbor assumed as 0 (zero), and indicated by a reading of 84.0 on a tide gauge fastened to a pile of the Harbor Dock, situated at the foot of "F" Street.
