A. It is unlawful to park a vehicle in any parking meter space next to which a parking meter has been installed during the restricted and regulated time applicable to the parking meter zone or area in which the meter is located unless a United States coin or coins of the appropriate denomination as indicated on the parking meter shall have been deposited therein, or shall have previously been deposited therein for an unexpired interval of time, and said meter has been placed in operation.

B. It is unlawful to park a vehicle in any parking meter space during the restricted and regulated time applicable to the parking meter zone or area in which the meter is located while the parking meter for such space indicates by a signal that the lawful parking time in such space has expired. This provision shall not apply to the act of parking or the necessary time which is required to deposit immediately thereafter a coin or coins in such meter.

C. It is unlawful to park a vehicle in any parking meter space for a consecutive period of time longer than two hours, or such other time as may be established by ordinance, irrespective of the number or amounts of the coins deposited in such meter.

D. The parking or standing of any motor vehicle in a parking space, at which space the parking meter displays the sign or signal indicating illegal parking, shall constitute a prima facie presumption that the vehicle has been parked or allowed to stand in such space for a period longer than permitted by this chapter.
