Section 37, § 30 of the Aberdeen City Charter shall be amended to read as follows:

30. Penalty for Violation of Ordinances:

To provide for the punishment of all disorderly conduct, and of all practices dangerous to public health or safety, and to make all regulations necessary for the preservation of public morality, health, peace, and good order within limits, and to provide for the arrest, trial, and punishment of all persons charged with violationg any of the ordinances of the City. The punishment shall not exceed the maximum punishment allowed by State law for violation of such ordinances of first class cities.

Adopted by a vote of the people November 6, 1985.
