The Building Inspector shall be charged with the duties of enforcing the building ordinances of the City and shall have control of the issuing of building permits and be charged with the duty of inspecting buildings under construction and repair including plumbing, electric wiring, and structural work. All inspection of buildings under construction or repair required by ordinance shall be under his jurisdiction and control.
