The Corporation Counsel shall be legal advisor of the city and of all of its officers. He shall represent the city as its counsel and attorney in all litigations and in all courts. He shall do and perform the legal work for the city and all of its departments and officers. He shall perform such other duties as the Council may from time to time prescribe by ordinance.
