A. It is unlawful to drive or ride horses upon the public streets, sidewalks or alleys in the city of Aberdeen except in areas zoned as residential agricultural districts, along state highways within the city of Aberdeen, or except by special permit granted by the chief of police in connection with parades or similar events.

B. Any person, firm or corporation violating the provisions of this section shall upon conviction be punished by a fine of not to exceed three hundred dollars ($300.00) or by imprisonment not to exceed thirty (30) days in the city jail or both.
