Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine of not more than three hundred dollars ($300.00) or by imprisonment in the city jail for a period of not more than ninety (90) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
