This Chapter shall be construed and implemented to be consistent with applicable Medicare and Medicaid requirements. If any regulation or procedure adopted under this Chapter for the purposes of establishing, implementing, imposing or collecting charges for ambulance service is found or determined to be in conflict with Medicare or Medicaid requirements, the conflicting part of this Chapter shall be inoperative to the extent of the conflict and such finding or determination shall not affect the operation of the remainder of this Chapter.
