Any person, firm or corporation that fails to comply with, or violates, any of the provisions of this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall be fined in an amount not exceeding three hundred dollars ($300.00) or be imprisoned in the city jail not exceeding ninety (90) days, or be subject to both such fine and imprisonment.
